Some say pump play is dead, the way of the dinosaur (extinct style). But there seems to be evidence otherwise. With Action Markers wanting to keep producing their Illusion line of pumps even after legal issues with K2. CCI still producing phantoms and now having so many orders he can barely keep up with them. And now this…
LAPCO Paintball is reintroducing their Grey Ghost line of pump markers. Many remember these beauties from yester-decade, and kids today probably never even heard of them.
Starting with a production of 100 Ghosts some of the stats currently include
- Spyder threaded barrels
- Stock barrel is your choice of a LAPCO made barrel, be it Bigshot, Autospirit, or their newest barrel system their Snapshot, as well as choice in length either 12” or 14” (for once a stock barrel that doesn’t suck!)
- Stock Class setup of-the-shelf (meaning 10rounds and 12grams, rockin’ it Old School!)
- Still keeping the grey look, currently experimenting on exact shade to produce
- Unlike previous model these will come with a Standard 45 style grip frame
- Expected price-tag of $350.00
This is only the beginning production. Future productions, as “a little birdie” tells me, will include a Direct Feed version (for those that don’t know that means it uses a Hopper!) for people that prefer a more Open Class style of pump play.
Pre-Orders can be placed either via LAPCO dealers, or straight from LAPCO Direct. Also you can find out more information as it rolls around at the LAPCO forums,

For those of you who dont know, Lapco used to make one of the better guns out there, around the time of the Bushmasters, Apexs, Razorbacks, and early Phantoms being the prominant Nelson style guns. They also used to make the Spectre, Spirit, and Wrath pumps, more info can be found here:
