At about 12:30 Monday, a van slammed into my dad's car, which then proceded to encourage his harley to climb the neigbor's tree.

neither the car ('91 skylark) or the bike ('85 Sportster, a 1kCC Shovelhead) are looking to be salvageable.

Worst part is, he wont get squat for the car, and the money he gets for the bike, will have to go to a new car or some sort.

If I would of taken my car today, then my bike would of been right next to his, and now resting inside another neighbor's house.

(excuse the pics, they are from my sis's phone)

Might I add that my dad was thinking of working on the car, and just decided to do some work on the house instead. The driver of the van is supposed to be OK, from what I was told.

car is twisted as you can see, all glass is cracked in some way now and the unibody is shot.

And the twin on the bike is split.. right down the V. The only salvageable part is the sissy bar cusion and the taillight.

They are getting towed somewhere where an insurance adjuster can look them over.

Wish it would of been my bike that got smashed.. so much easier to replace.

That's friggin horrible! That's a bad hill...but I didn't think it was that bad!

Did the driver of the van lose control due to speed, or was "something else" to blame?

My girlfriend in high school was in an accident two weeks before our senior prom because her friend (who was driving) had a bee fly into her car. Luckily she just hit a curb (hard enough to flatten the tire) and a parking meter.

It's a friggin BEE!
