I am supposed to come up and meet a friend of mine there Sunday. I hope you're allowing walkons. First time for me. Got tired of listening to my friends talk about how great paintball is so I decided to try it out. Bought my own gear (Mask, Gun). Anything special that a first-timer needs to know?

Sunday is our designated "walk on" day. Please call Buddy (412- 462- 4661) and tell him how many are coming so that he has enough paint for everyone.

The terrain at the field is hilly -- so I would suggest wearing boots (or anything with good ankle support). I typically wear camoflauge (military style), but lots of people show up in blue jeans or sweats. There's drinking water at the field, but you might want to bring some gatorade too. After running around our field for 4 hours you may find yourself needing something more than water.

Buddy will go through all of the safety requirements before the games start. All safety regulations are strictly enforced -- your gun will have to be chrono'd before the game -- field velocity is 300 fps unless otherwise stipulated.

Only "field paint" is allowed -- don't bring your own paintballs to this field.

Welcome! See you on Sunday

Thanks MadCat,
There are just 2 of us coming and my friend may have called already, as he plays there pretty regularly. I will call Buddy just to make sure he knows though.

I'm pretty excited actually. I've wanted to try this out for a long time. Just never had the chance. Should be a good time.

The weather was great today the field is starting to shape up and there were allot of people that came out to play. The only two drawbacks were the delays between the games were too long and the we did not get started early enough. I hope next week is as good.

It was a great day for paintball! Buddy is still ironing out the logistics, but otherwise it was a fine day!

It's a shame that the other group didn't want to merge for a huge game. That would have been fun

Anyway, props to AJG1 - he completely owned me on the last game of the day!

Yeah, Sunday's game was awesome. I can't think of a better way for a first-timer to get a taste of this game. I didn't mind the long breaks so much. My *** was draggin, especially after climbing that big hill (with the rope) during one of the rounds. I thought I was gonna pass out :D

That would have been great if that private group would've joined up for a big game. Oh well, I still had a great time.

Led Boots, what were you wearing yesterday? Were you on "clear" or yellow team?
