Just wondering if a stablizer will be more conistant shooting at a lower presure then at a fairly high presure. Example, at 400psi the stablizer shots with a 2% fluctuation, which is 6 fps at 300fps(yeah I know thats not safe but it was an even number). And at 800 PSI it would be shooting at the same 2% fluctuation giving 12 fps + or -. The reason I'm asking is I am making a compact gun and I would like it to be loud with the short barrel but don't want to sacrifice the consistanty. So if anyone knows what I'm saying.....

Worry about what the gun will be most efficient at with the particular valving. After a case of paint (or 2000+ shots of air) the springs in a stabilizer wear in and keep pretty consistent.

At ~350 psi i get a flux of +/-2 fps with good paint.

Now with a stab and going low pressure (if the gun needs it for some reason) you can get the low pressure spring pack, or you can get a fatty stabilizer, which maxes out at 400 psi.

The PPS low pressure spring kit maxes out at 300psi. Personally, I don't have any guns that need that kind of low-pressure. I run my Blazer at 400psi (with a single "male" stabe) and it's absolutely fine with that -- no big fluxes at the chrono. The female stabe on my Typhoon has acted up in the past -- it's time for a rebuild.

If it is new, it needs worn in. I can take a look at it, as I have latley gotten very familiar with PPS reg internals

The female stabe is very old (assuming that it's as old as the gun...it's 7 yrs old).

Every once in a while it will vent like it's over-pressurized. I'll just add a few drops of airtool oil and it's fine for a few more days.

It's pretty obvious that it needs a soft-parts rebuild...I have one inbound from PPS.

mines gona go on a tippmann Carbine. last carbine I had ran at around 550 to 650psi fine but I want to run mine at higher presure, just wonding if higher presure will run as stable as a lower presure.
