from what i've seen, bottomlines don't look very difficult to set up, any tips?

use teflon or locktite or plumbers putty on the fittings then just screw them in, some even use the brush crazy glue. Marco or micro line can be tricky but someone at riverside I'm sure would help you with that.

BLUE locktite... never red. Let it dry for a while, just a drop or 2 works.

Teflon is good, but it will enlarge fittings, as well as mess things up if you get sloppy with it.

Locktite I put some blue on a couple of set screws for a trigger a few weeks ago I let it dry for 2 days and it was still wet when I put it together. Micro line is a little to restrictive flow-wise it would be more suitable for a pump I run macro on all my guns only one blowout ever and it was at the MMG about 4-5 years ago. I saw a little bulge in the line and tried to get one more insertion in and when I got shot out and left the field I stopped at the "CIA" tent to check the score of the game I set my Cocker down on the table for two seconds and then BOOM!!! there goes my gun flying across the counter spinning in a circle of a white CO2 cloud. Scared the hell out of all of us. Steel braided lines are nice but I am not sure if you can get them in any length you wish so you might be stuck with too short of to long of a hose macro you can cut to any size just make sure to cut it strait.

Most Macro and Micro line is not rated for 800 PSI... just usually about 300 psi. Thats why it blows out easy, and can send nice peices of plastic shooting through the air.

Hardline works great, and if you do it right, high pressure brake line fits into macroline fittings.....
