I have an 03 cocker that the stabilizer doesn't seem to fit on. It tightens about a quarter of a turn after the trigger frame. So the gauge and airline do not fit on the gun when the reg is tight. Any suggestions?

it doesnt have to be entirely tight to air up, mine even leaks a bit when aired, until I give it a slight nudge.
