This weekend I think I came to the realization that I've been playing for a long time.

1. I know play at a field where CO2 isn't even an optional fill. Nitro is the only option, rentals get 47/3000 steel tanks.

2. I read a post on pbnation, where a user asked if CO2 was acceptable to use in his SNIPER PUMP GUN. And the response from someone else was that it could be ok, but he really should be running Nitro, CO2 could cause some problems.

Do these people understand that CO2 was all that existed when the Sniper (AutoCocker w/o auto) was created...

ok, enough whining. Back to your regular scheduled tech questions...

Yeah, I think that is a result of people talking about paintball more than they play it.

Start getting to the point where you are scrutinizing between CO2 and Nitro in a pump gun and that tells me you need to get a little more experience on the field. lol

But that is crazy that your field doesn't fill CO2.

It's indoor, www.bearcreekmilpitas.com. And for those keeping track, I just finally picked up a new nitro tank. This one has a removable regulator, so I can fly with it when I come out for the monster game. I also ordered, but have not recieved, a 2003 AKALMP Viking.

Or try telling someone that your gun runs on liquid CO2.. and they say thats going to ruin it.

My old beloved Tippy .68 loves C02 liquid. It was designed with liquid in mind. I'm not sure it would even work with HP or Nitro...

The gear available for PB really exploded in the 5 years... I'm still stuck in the past. All mechanical. :smt118

You can get them to run Nitro with a tank that puts out 1000 psi, or by some clever re-springing.. but a 68 special eats and breathes liquid CO2.

Heck, run any blowback on LCO2 and you can see a huge performance jump, decent shot count and winter performance out the wazzoo.
