Anyone have any experience or comments on the Viewloader Evlution II AKA the Egg?

I have been wanting to up my loader, not sure if I want to shell out the bucks for the Q-loader. Some have suggested the Egg as a great alternative.

I am not really interested in BPS, my gun will only do 8.

Will the Egg assist with out of position shots such as extreme up hill and down hill shooting?

The inside of the Egg reminds me of the Cyclone Feed on the A5.

Anyone have used Evlution II for sale?

i used to have one it worked great, but now i got a halo which i like much better but if you dont really care about bps i would say just get a viewloader revolution. they're cheaper than eggs.

Used to have one.. they arent great on batteries, and the plastic, like any new VL plastic, is crap.

Other than that, it holds a ton and feeds reliably.

Just get yourself an extra shell...

If you are only shooting at 8 BPS then a 12v Revvy or an Empire Reloader 2 would be a nice lower price alternative. I have the Reloader 2 and it works really well. I get the feeling you are worried about being able to shoot sideways, but only a Q-loader or a Warp Feed will help with that.

I am still sort of hung up on the Qloader, but someone suggested the Egg. The egg looks like it will help with some out of position shots, but looks like the profile of the gun is still very high.

I may drop some bucks on a used Egg and if not satisfied with it go with the Qloader in the future.

I have 3 paintballers here in the house and I am sure that my boy will put the Egg to use if I don't like it.

If I save some bucks by buying the used Egg, I can pick up a J&J ceramic barrel and an on/off valve for my tank.

Anyone have a J&J 14" with 98 threads that they want to part with?

Eggy 2's eat batteries? My eggs been great on batteries, I can use 2 9volts for about a month or longer. As far as the "cheap plastic" goes the only thing I've seen break on eggs are the latches on the door from excessive force when closing and twisted off speed adjusters from overturning. From what I've heard though, Evolution 1's were big pieces of crap and they re-designed them to not suck.

Yep, the first Eggs were crappy. Very tall, much more strain on the neck, which makes for a lot of broken feed necks. Egg2 has a much more robust feed. I got rid of mine because I didnt need the firepower it could put out. comparing what i remember of it with my halo, its a lot lighter and holds more paint. On older guns or odd ones with the feed way back (like the Alien guns) it makes for an odd looking gun, but the balance is further back, and with the right drop forward, actually makes it feel better.
