Okay...mainframe programmer here....how do I get my avatar .gif file onto http://www.riversiderenegades.com/forum ... s/avatars/ or to a place where I can save it to my profile?

I tried putting the local path (i.e. C:\) to pick up the file directly, but that doesn't seem to work.

I have the uploading of avatars disabled for right now, I have to get with Matt, the gentleman who hosts the site, and see what it will do to our bandwidth.

You can link to another web host that has your avatar, but I do not condone that you leach off someone's bandwidth either.

Thanks Azzy -- I'm still getting up to speed with FTP, etc.

Maybe Riverside Renegades could have a pre-defined selection of avatars for forum members to choose from. That might remedy any uploading problems.

I can't get my avatar to work.

I've tried many things, and I typed in the URL to my site but it won't work...is there anything I can do?

you have to link it to your site, not upload from link. The picture that your avatar points to does not exist on the Riversiderenegades.com server.

It is still a glitch in the system. If you need it uploaded, let me know, you can email it to me directly.
