Yes it would, all the paint has to do is sit in the end of the barrel, the bolt will provide the air.


Closed bolt guns have the ball in the barrel, bolt closed at the start of the firing cycle.

Or if you get into smart parts Seal Forward terminoligy, the bolt is closed as the paint is chambered and air applied to it, just like every other air gun in the world, except maybe the nova.
