OK, I'm looking for some constructive criticism here. Also looking for a little help.

What do you like about the website.
What do you think it needs?
What do you think it doesn't need?


Those for you with website experience, how can we get more traffic? How can we put the field in a better light with increased web traffic?

I'm asking this because I think it would be great to keep the attendance we have had in the last few months at the same levels through the winter.

More targets are fun :wink:

Azzy,

I can offer my help with the photo part of the website. You can view my website at www.nephotography.com

I know you don't really know me very well yet, but I'll meet you this weekend. :)

I think your photos could be a big part of the website, especially for new players and players that haven't been to your field yet.

I enjoyed browsing the pics on there currently, but it is awkward to navigate and the photos aren't super high quality, it looks like you applied alot of compression to them?

Anyways, you site has alot of great content. I like it alot, no complaints here.

the major problem with the pictures is the camera... Its a Kodak 1mp point and shoot with 3x optical zoom.

Was hoping to pick up a decent SLR soon, and Princevaliant has a lead on one for me.

Buddy was also talking about getting a better camera soon.

Yeah, that can be a big limitation - 1 MP. That explains the amount of pixelation in the photos. But I still love having them to look at! It gets me pumped up to play. (I hope the weather holds out for us)

I have a couple 35 mm SLR's that I wouldn't mind putting in harm's way taking action pics some time. I don't think I would want to bring my D100. lol

What kind of SLR you looking at? Prices are getting really cheap for them now- I hope you find one you like. If you have any questions about them let me know.

This is one that I was looking at

mainly what im looking for is decent quality, ability to adjust shutter speed, and a good zoom. An ability to take pictures in a fast sucession is a BIG plus.

I think soon I will be putting together a sale of some sort to raise money for it.

Azzy, if you want the 411 on digital cameras you MUST check out

www.dpreview.com

It has the best reviews on the net, and they are dead on. The forums are super helpful as well. You can visit individual forums specific to manufacturer and get tons of insight. I highly recommend this site!

Thanks for the link, I found the Olympus C-2100 UZ model there, and it looks like almost everything I want / need, and it does video.

Thats a BIG plus for the field, as I want to add videos to the website in the future.

Videos for the website would be sweet, but don't expect much from a digital still camera as far as video. Perhaps it is plenty for on the web however.

I think photos are such a big part of your website, I know you would get more hits if people had pics of themselves covering their buddy in paint on your site. :smt024
