I'll be there (really). It's supposed to be a very nice day -- with no snow in the forecast

One of my Marine mates will be there too.

!!!! Make sure that you call Buddy to let him know you're coming !!!!!

I'll probably play pump all day...my poor Phantom is just begging to get some action. If I feel "lucky", I might break out the PGP and kick it 12g style for a few games.

I thought once a marine, always a marine (as in no "former" marines)?

I will be there for just a few games, going to bring out the pumps for a bit.

Otherwise i will be helping out with Tekkoshocon 3 out at the expomart.

What rank did you make it to? My moms exboyfriend was in Vietnam

War he is a Green Beret Special Forces with the Marines. He has alot of

stories but he didnt like talking about them. He said 900 men of his

battalion went in and him and a few others were the only one to make

it back. He told me this one story where they threw a granade at him blew

up and he was knocked out he got captured and tortured he told me a

few things they did to him but he loses intrest in talking about that, so

anyway he escaped and he told me everyone that tortured him didnt

survive when he got down from being hung by a tree with wire. Sry Azzy

but i'm gonna break one of the rules just this once, I'd have to say

he was a real badass cuz i dont know anyone who has got shot

multiple time, blown up and captured then made it out alive. Anyways

you are right about that Azzy

Yes...it's "once a Marine, always a Marine" but you usually only hear that when someone refers to themselves as an "ex Marine". "Former Marine" is okay.

Anyway, I made it to Staff Sergeant (E6), then decided to go and make some real money. There's really more to it than that -- but I prefer my war stories to be about paintball :P

I guess I forgot to log in again after clearing my cookies --

I don't think the Green Berets were in the marines, I'm pretty sure they were from the army, rangers I think who were above sergeant could try for the Green Berets. Anyway the mission of the Green Berets is to train indiginious forces to fight agaisnt the enemy (NVA and viet cong). But I don't think they had anything to do with the marines.

Seals (Navy)
Green Barets (Army)
Rangers (Army Airborne)
Force Recon (Marines)

I think that there are more, but they don't come to mind

Delta Force is part of the Army of course, and the Airforce has some highly trained Comandos.

In the Army you are usually just considered "Special Forces" if you are part of a special forces unit, such as 10th Mountain. Plus the Rangers and Delta of course.
