the field is getting pretty shabby.. Some forts are not as strong as they use to be. some parts of the field just need some work. One day in the summer we should get together and do some renevation on the field. I mean in all the topics i read alls people do is say i want this and i want that. SO lets get off are buts and do some of the stuff we say

No if you look around you will see some threads about cleaning up the field but it always seems to be just talk. There is always allot of "what day will be good for you guys" or "I think we should do ...." but it never comes together. We need on person to organize and say we will be doing this on this day and when that day comes we will have a set plan of what we are going to do and the materials to do it. Look back on some past thread you will see the talk of this day that never happens. I would volunteer my self for what ever day is planed for if I can make it. I am not the one to plan this day though.

Good point a single person needs to organize such an effort. I think the best person to lead this would be Buddy. Afterall it is his field and we would need his permission, and direction, cleaning the field. I am guessing people would be more apt to listen to Buddy if he was in charge of this event.

1> In order to have the best chance to get the most volunteers to help out the event would have to take place during the weekend. So a date(s) will need to be selected.

2> You will want to avoid the heat of mid-day as much as possible. So a start time should take place early morning. 8am for example.

3> Will need Buddy, or somebody else who has his blessing to take charge, to ask for volunteers. He could recruit volunteers on the message board. Create a new thread called "Volunteers needed for cleanup/repair." List the cutoff date for volunteers to enlist.

4> Once the list of volunteers is gathered. The person(s) in charge could assign each person a specific list of tasks for the cleanup/repair.

5> Best to try and address this sooner rather then later. Summer is close at hand and I am sure everybody would want the cleanup/repair mission complete before that time.

6> Will need somebody to present the idea of a cleanup/repair day to Buddy to get the ball rolling.


I will certainly do my part and helpout if such an event was organized.

myself and ed have been going up the field for like 2 weeks now at like 9 a.m. trying to fix some stuff up and pick stuff up. and i think we're going to keep doing so so be can come up around then and help us.

even thought the idea is a good one. Do you think buddy will be up for the idea
