Azzy do you think that there is anyway that you can work some

scenario game with Buddy? There really isnt any BIG games

up at the feild. I just think more people would come if their was

something like this to look forward to.

Its been discussed before, but before there is any style of "big" game at the field, some logistics need to be worked out, such as where might 100 or so people park?

Its do-able, and might be fun.. but there needs to be a lot of work done to do it.

I think the field itself could accomodate a small Army, but the staging area would be totally overwhelmed IMO.

I've read about scenario play and it seems like it would be alot of fun. There is some serious role playing involved with medics, infantryman, engineers, etc. Not to mention the coordination that is involved.

Time to create Hill 937, aka Hamburger Hill 8) . Perhaps Defend Loni's or Fort Apache against an assault from GI Joes? A couple of military style fighting positions or foxholes dug in the side of the hill would be totally awesome. It's a little late in the season for digging by hand though. Spring will be here soon enough. 2 days of digging and sandbagging should produce a very top quality and long lasting foxhole.

Heck yes!

Is anyone playing on November 19th? It is a Saturday. Some of the people that came up from Uniontown and a couple of other people from my work that came on the 29th are interested in coming back to Riverside. They loved it that much!

If there are any groups getting together that day and you need a few more players please hit me here or PM me.

Thanks.

these are all great ideas. but what needs to happen is volunteers.

these ideas have been being kicked around for years. i am one of the old farts at the field so i think i know a thing or too. but that is my opinion.

everyone is gung-ho and all on the forums and on the planning stages, but when it comes time to "put up", no one seems to be able to have the time.

the other is cash flow. there just is not the cash to take a season off and redo the field or overhaul it.

besides all that there is alot of planning and logistics that go into running or own mega/scenerio game.

heck sometimes we can't even organize a trip to the mmg as some of you have seen.

but i am always trying

I wouldn't mind pitching in a few hours to the field. I just need to know in advance. My schedule is kind of tight with both myself and my wife in school, and having 2 boys to take care of plus all the other day to day crap. If I schedule something for Saturday or Sunday I have to do all my school work during the week. Advance notice is pretty critical for me.

There might be others that would volunteer if they know in advance. I am sure that you Veteran Renegades have done alot at the field. The forts did not get built by themselves.

Keep tryin'!

So I thought about it and it may take a few weeks to a few months to set

up for a big game. The feild has lots of potential. Azzy i hate to stick it to

ya but he listens to you more than me, everyone can agree. I get a little

tired of playing 3 on 3 or 4 on 5 every sunday. I'll do whatever is possible

but I know that bud wont listen to me so I Azzy, ask him for all of us. A

few of us need to meet together and work out possibilitys. I really want to

see something done.

Well I tell you this, if its a big game like that, expecially with objectives and missions that need the presence of a lot of refs, we wont be playing (the Renegades that is).

As for talking to him, if enough peple are interested, then the idea might work. But you need cold hard cash inteested, like pre-regged interested. We did try to put on a big game before, with mnimal results.
