Just wondering, I've been hardcore about counterstrike but now I'm thinking about getting into socom online. Wondered if you guys had any clans or if anyone played even.

not those games, i had a clan recently for ut2k3 and call of duty and battlefield. they moved onto ut2k4 now but i havn't just yet.

Never really liked counter-strike that much but played firearms and day of defeat mods alot. I have 4 computers on a network setup with steam here.

Now I play battlefield 1942, battlefield vietnam, generals: zero hour, and sometimes warcraft 3 fronzen throne or starcraft broodwars.

Been playing PC games since I was ten (about the same time I started paintball) and the best ones have been: X-com: UFO defense, Privateer, Doom, and mech warrior: mercinaries. Just wanted to add that because old games went more for gameplay and orginality whereas these new ones are all just the same generes trying to outdo each other in graphics.

Starcraft was a quality game, I played that for a long time. Warcraft 3 I didn't really get into. I'm waiting for worlds of warcraft to come out.

i used to play alot of BF 1942 until i got into lineage 2 beta

i have played both.. i like socom better just because the people are so gay on counterstrike they kill u and stuff and the levels suck. I love socom 2 online im still playin it

counterstrike wasn't that fun because certain weapons are just really dominate, it would be nice if they balanced them so they are all effective for their cost, instead of certain guns just being better at everything then others.

try www.firearmsmod.com , they will soon be releasing 2.9 , but 2.8 is still pretty good and balanced, just remember to aim for the face because everyone will be wearing kevlar.

i highly recommend a mod for bf1942, its called desert combat. its a modern warfare mod featuring modern vehicles, weapons, maps, and mine and falcons favorite, helicopters. falcon and i have started a small elite clan on there. the mod is very nicely done and is good enough that i would buy it if it were a stand alone game, many nice custom maps. best of all, the mod is free. so if you have bf1942, download desert combat for it and talk to me or falcon if youd like to play with us. we also have bf vietnam.
