PROPOSED Ban on the shooting of paintballs in Jerrson Hills, PA. From
the May 12 Pittsburgh Post_Gazette, "Council authorized borough
solicitor George Gobel for the second straight month to advertise a
proposed ordinance to prohibit the firing of paintball guns in the
borough."

And other areas:

Quote:
WILL Paintball markers be banned in Park Ridge, IL? City Alderman
Michael Tinaglia is pushing to have paintball markers treated "as
closely as possible to the way we treat firearms, and (we) should
require owners to get permits and register them," as quoted in "The
Journal & Topics Newspapers/Local News" of 5/12/04, by Dwight Esau.
Reportedly, State Senator Jeff Schoenberg has urged the city to ban
paintball markers and pellet guns. Speak up players, because if you
don't support your sport at the local level, this sort of "ban
mentality" will spread to other cities and states.

Registration and bans don't stop those who already break laws and destroy property, or attack others maliciously.

I encourage all of you to contact George Gobel's office with a well written email, stating the safety our sport requires to even happen, as well as the measures that are taken by people in this sport to prevent such things.

As soon as I find contact info, I will get it up on the board.

I grew up in Jefferson Hills and that would be whore-able. There are many wooded areas there that people could responsibly play on there own land with out running into any one else's homes or property. I hope that it doesn't go through. I will also look for contact info too and see if I there is any one that I know that I can talk to.
